Check out the Giambattista Valli spring 2013 couture collection and get ready to be captivated by a stunning range of whimsical and utterly romantic pieces!

“What is the meaning of couture?” This seems to be the question Giambattista Valli had posed himself while making the absolutely whimsical designs spotted in his couture collection. “I wanted to separate my more industrially designed ready-to-wear from my couture,” the designer said, adding that, “It’s the kind of fantasy couture I dreamed of making when I was a student.”

So, have you gorgeous dolls already seen the new Giambattista Valli spring 2013 couture collection? Ah, just have a look and get ready to enter into the beautiful world of all-things-chic and lovely. From daytime-appropriate goodies to uber-adorable and romantic evening gowns, the line addresses mostly to 28 to 38-year-olds. “I wanted the models to look real, like my younger clients with their hair down, fresh and cool, just how they would wear it,” Valli explained.

Besides the monochrome pieces and the black and white animal prints, Valli's couture line also features ethereal powder pink, lilac and sunflower yellow, and some achingly adorable embroideries and embellishments such as flowers and feathers. Oh, but those silhouettes! Aren't they absolutely fairytale-like? “I am very interested in playing with structure and construction, not just with decoration,” Giambattista Valli said in an interview with V Magazine.
